Suddenly, you spot headlights cutting through the darkness—a bus is approaching. It’s the last bus heading to your home, but something feels off. As you board, you can't shake the feeling that this bus won’t take you home; instead, it will lead you to a place that sends shivers down your spine.

This eerie scenario isn’t just a figment of imagination. In November 1995, a real-life incident in China encapsulated this chilling experience, revolving around Bus No. 375, which ran between Yuanmingyuan and Fragrant Hills. This route, just 16 kilometers long, served as a lifeline for late-night workers. But on that fateful night, everything changed.

The Journey Begins

On that regular night, as the bus made its way along its route, it stopped at the Summer Palace to pick up passengers. A couple, an old woman, and a young man boarded, joining the driver and conductor already on board. As the journey progressed, an unsettling atmosphere began to creep in. As the journey continued, the tension in the bus escalated. The atmosphere grew heavy with silence, and the old woman couldn’t shake the feeling that something was very wrong. Just as she started to feel light-headed, chaos erupted: her purse was missing, and she accused the young man sitting across from her. Despite his protests of innocence, panic spread, and the conductor suggested they exit the bus and go to the nearby police station.

 A Narrow Escape

Upon stepping off the bus, the old woman felt relieved, but the young man was distract. As they walked away, the old woman revealed her chilling realization: the three figures had no faces and no feet. She had saved them from becoming victims of a paranormal entity. 

But the horror didn’t end there. The bus, now empty except for the driver and conductor, never made it to its destination. In fact, it vanished without a trace. Days later, the police discovered the bus submerged in a river, 100 kilometers away from Fragrant Hills. Inside, they found the decomposed bodies of the driver and conductor, along with one of the faceless figures.

 Unanswered Questions

The most baffling aspect? Despite only having been missing for two days, the bodies showed signs of extensive decomposition. The bus’s fuel tank was empty, but there was blood—no answers, only mysteries.

This chilling story raises countless questions: Why did the driver take that route? Who were those mysterious passengers? Were they spirits, or something far more sinister?
